Home' LOTL : Mar 12 Contents Brissie rockers, Love Like Hate will be joining forces
with Melbourne locals, The Anoushka and The Divine
Fluxus, for a night of chick rock at the Brunswick
Hotel on March 18.
With a new EP, Daughters, produced and engineered
by Lachlan Mitchell (The Jezebels) set to release
next month, the trio are looking forward to rocking
your socks off. With a combination of electric guitar
and piano sounds, held together with rock drums,
the writing ensemble between lead singer Heather
Cheketri and pianist Sonja Ter Horst (and drummer
Sonia Serin) has been described as dark pop. So be
sure to get along for a taste.
Tearing up the stage with them, will be Anoushka
whose live performances have quickly secured a loyal
following for their unruly genre busting escapades.
While Melbourne newbies, The Divine Fluxus (Victoria
Dunbar, Ary Rejon and Sasha Campbell) will add to
the fray as they bring you a slice of old school rock.
This gig will be nothing short of heaven on a stick!

Madison Violet- The Good in Goodbye
deliver an album
alt country and
that sound as
though you have cracked open the door
on a friendship and paused a moment to
eavesdrop on the intimate tales within.
At times aching and bittersweet at others
joyous and uplifting, these songs of life on
the road deserve multiple listens.
The Ting Tings - Sounds from Nowheresville
It's been four
since the Ting
release, so has
worth the wait?
In a word, Yes. While not as catchy as its
hook-laden predecessor, Sounds from
Nowheresville still ticks all the right boxes
and proves that the duo know their way
around a hook or two. Stand out tracks?
'Silence' and 'Guggenheim'.
Sharon Van Etten - Tramp
It would seem
hard yards. Her
follow up album
more of the folky blues tinged tunes
she's become known for accompanied
by soulful guitar strumming and double
tracked vocals. There is very little new
ground covered here, still Van Etten is
in fine voice and her guitar rhythms do
have a tendency to mesmerise. Best
enjoyed on a hot summer night as you
sip a mojito and think of days long past..
