Tatiana – Spider Web
Denis Ingoldsby (N
Dubz, Girls Aloud,
and Andy Murray
Groove Armada, Alicia
Keys) this single
from Polish pop star
Tatiana Okupnik has quite the pedigree. Taken from
her soon to be released album of the same name, this
single presents a pop jazz fusion that shows off the
singer’s big vocals. Despite its primitive lyrics, this is
a song that will get inside your head.
Girl Most Likely - Empty Room
Aubrey and the AV
Club take on a new
moniker but serve
up the same sweet
pop sound with this
debut long player
that runs the gamut
serenades on lonliness a la the titular ‘Empty Room’
to boisterous drinking songs. Aubrey’s voice is
assured and easy to listen to, while her band adds a
layered texture to the ofttimes simple melodies.
k.d lang and the reclines - A Truly Western
These days k.d lang
is best known for
her crooning ballads,
but there was a time
when she could
shake a tail feather
with the best of them
and this album (a
25th anniversary edition, no less) serves up a taste
of lang, Americana style. The album includes several
unrelased tracks; these toe tapping numbers deliver
a slice of the American midwest, cementing lang’s
place as a formidable country and western star.
Alel a Diane & Wild Divine is the brand new album

Alela Diane & Wild Divine was penned on the
road whilst touring in 2009. Diane completed the

The album is produced by Scott Litt (Nir vana,
REM, The Replacements) at his Venice studios.
