THE B WORD
By Renee Schembri
Time flies when you’re having fun. If that’s true then this year
must have been the most fun ever — because I can’t even re-
member most of it.
October is upon us, and we loooove any month that kicks off with a
long weekend. Three days off, four days on. Sounds good to me. For
your October session we present Sleazy Bitch on Friday, October 2
at the Oxford Art Factory. Special guest and drag king legend Rocco
D’Amore, up from Melbourne and exclusive to Bitch, will be strutting
his stuff on stage with a huge production show incorporating over six
live entertainers, including Rosa + Nu Firm dance co getting sleazy!
Cyndi Tan is back from her big USA tour and will be rocking the
dance floor with her drum beats.
It’s truly show time as we deliver a fresh new show every hour, and
Bitch gets sleazy for the first time with pole dancers, dancer dollars,
roaming performers, and red light district lounge areas as we deck out
the venue in a new layout. It’s a themed party to get you in the mood...
gangsters, pimps and hos — so really anything goes — get your sleeze
on for this special event.
Now we move to some sad but exciting news. Bada Bing, our
monthly hip hop thing, has a big announcement to make. After two
and a half years at the Flinders Hotel, it’s time to move on. Yes, the ru-
mours are true — Flinders has been sold. All the nights that you know
and love there are finishing up this September, which means we are on
the move. We are venue hopping over Sydney for the next few months
to find the ultimate new venue for Bada Bing — and you get to choose!
That’s right, it’s Peoples’ Choice! We are taking Bada Bing to a new
venue and new date for October. The Burdekin Hotel on Saturday
October 25th will be our first new location, then stay tuned as we try
out various venues and you get to vote online for your fave. The most
votes wins, and that’s where we stay for 2010. Something different,
something fun, so get your groove on and join us on the 4th Saturday
of October for Bada Bing Sydney’s hip hop girly thing!
Last but not least, there’s an “I Kiss Bitch” national tour approach-
ing. Look out Melbourne and BrisVegas, as we are heading your way
soon! Join our mailing list at bitchnews.com .au to be the first to get
all the updates, as well as exclusive photos and footage from the Ruby
Rose Bitch Revolution party last month (pictured) — what a night!
Bitch memberships are being released this month, and we have only
fifty available as we are now hosting both our regular nights in bigger
venues. Jump online for info or ask our door girls. Don’t forget this of-
fer is for October only and gets you free entry to all Bitch regular gigs
for twelve months! Get your sleaze on, and remember if you can’t be
good, at least be good at it.
